Morning National Slaughter Cattle Review for Wednesday, 1/23/13
On Wednesday, negotiated cash trade in the Texas Panhandle trade and demand was
light to moderate. Compared to last week, live sales sold 3.00 lower at
122.00. In Kansas, trading and demand was light to moderate. Compared to last
week, live sales sold 1.00 to 3.00 lower at 122.00. Trading in Nebraska was
light on light demand. Compared to last week, live sales sold 1.00 to 2.50
lower from 122.00 to 122.50. The last established dressed sales in Nebraska were
last week, with sales mostly at 198.00. Trading in Colorado was moderate on
moderate demand. Compared to last week, live sales sold 1.00 lower at 122.00,
with instances up to 122.50. In the Western Cornbelt, trading was mostly
inactive. Not enough sales for an adequate market trend. The last established
market was last week. On a light test, live sales sold at 122.00 with dressed
sales selling from 195.00 to 198.00.
