Morning National Slaughter Cattle Review for Friday, 2/22/13
On Friday negotiated cash trade in the Texas Panhandle was limited on very light
demand. The last established market was on Wednesday with live sales selling steady
at 123.00. In Kansas, trading was moderate on moderate demand. Compared to last
week, live sales sold 2.00 higher at 125.00. In Nebraska, trading was light to
moderate on light to moderate demand. Compared to last week, live sales sold steady
to 2.00 higher from 123.00 to 125.00. Dressed sales sold mostly steady at 198.00.
In Colorado, trading was limited on light demand. The last established market was on
Wednesday with live sales selling steady at 123.00. In the Western Cornbelt trading
was light to moderate on light to moderate demand. Compared to last week, live sales
sold 1.00 to 2.00 higher from 123.00 to 125.00 with dressed sales selling 1.00 to
2.00 higher from 197.00 to 198.00
