Morning National Slaughter Cattle Review for Thursday, 9/12/13

On Thursday negotiated cash trade was moderate on fairly light demand in the Texas 
Panhandle with light trade and demand in Kansas. Compared to last week in the 
Southern Plains, live sales traded steady at 123.00 on a light test. In the Northern 
Plains trade was light on light to moderate demand. In Nebraska few early dressed 
sales traded from 194.00-195.00, however not enough sales for an adequate market 
trend. Last week in Nebraska, live sales traded mostly at 123.00 with dressed sales 
mostly at 194.00 with a few up to 195.00. Last week in Colorado, live sales traded 
mostly at 124.00. Thursday in the Western Cornbelt trade and demand was light to 
moderate with a few early live sales from 122.00-122.50, however not enough sales for 
an adequate market test. Last week, live sales traded from 122.00-122.50 and dressed 
sales from 193.00-195.00.
