Morning National Slaughter Cattle Review for Thursday, 1/9/14

On Thursday negotiated cash trade was inactive on moderate demand in the Southern 
Plains and Colorado. In Nebraska and the Western Cornbelt trade was slow on moderate 
demand. Not enough sales in any feeding region for an adequate market test.  The 
latest established market was last week, with live sales at 137.00 in the Southern 
Plains. Last week in Nebraska, live sales sold mostly at 139.00 with dressed sales 
from 217.00-218.00. In Colorado for the previous week, live sales sold from 138.50-
139.00. In the Western Cornbelt last week, live sale sold from 136.00-137.00 with 
dressed sales mostly at 218.00.
