SC Farm Report on Thursday
Cattle at SC Auctions on Wednesday: Feeder cattle unevenly steady.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 175.00-185.00; 500-600 lbs
147.50-165.00. Feeder bulls: 400-500 lbs 165.00-183.00; 500-600 lbs 137.50-
161.00. Feeder heifers: 400-500 lbs 152.00-177.50; 500-600 lbs 163.00-152.50.
Slaughter cows 1.00 to 2.00 lower; bulls steady. Breakers 75-80% 83.00-87.00;
Boners 80-85% 84.00-90.00; Lean 85-90% 72.00-80.00. Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and
Large 1-2 1090-1485 lbs young to middle age cows with 85-300 lbs calves 1250.00-
1875.00 per pair.
Hogs on Wednesday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct Barrows
& Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs 59.27, down 0.79. Sows live price 300-450
lbs 47.96; 450-500 lbs 54.40; 500-550 lbs 56.39.
SC Grain on Thursday. Corn was mostly 1 to 9 cents higher, processor bids
6.71-7.12. Soybeans were 11 to 17 cents lower, processor bid 14.99. Wheat was
steady to 9 cents higher, processors bids 6.51-7.01.
Cotton on Thursday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 was 83.46, up 0.70.
