SC Farm Report on Monday
National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages for all
grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB steers 1,375 lbs
at 123.47, heifers 1,215 lbs at 123.73. Dressed delivered steers 935 lbs at 189.87,
heifers 816 lbs at 191.60. Weekly boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights
Choice down 1.43 at 190.34 and Select down 4.04 at 176.73.
National direct feeder pigs last week, per head weighted average prices are
delivered to the buyer's farm. Early weaned pigs 5.00 to 7.00 per head higher. All
feeder pigs 3.00 to 5.00 per head higher. Demand was good to moderate for moderate
offerings. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis 22.24; 40 lbs cash basis 23.73.
Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct Barrows & Gilts US
1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs 62.10, up 0.86. Sows live price 300-450 lbs 34.29, 450-500
lbs 38.84, 500-550 lbs 40.92.
SC Grain on Monday. Corn was 5 to 6 cents lower, processor bids 7.62-8.37. New crop
Soybeans were steady to 3 cents higher, elevator bids 14.76-15.23. New crop Wheat was
1 to 8 cents higher; elevator bids 7.30-7.97.
Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was not available.
