Cattle at SC auctions this week: Feeder cattle steady to 2.00 higher.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 150.00-186.00; 500-600 lbs
135.00-161.00. Feeder bulls: 400-500 lbs 133.00-182.00; 500-600 lbs
129.00-156.00. Feeder heifers: 400-500 lbs 127.50-150.00; 500-600 lbs
115.00-140.00. Slaughter cows and bulls steady. Breakers 75-80% lean
70.00-81.00; Boners 80-85% lean 68.00-82.50; Lean 85-90% lean 63.00-74.50.
Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 1-2 780-1335 lbs young to middle
age cows with 120-290 lbs calves 1110.00-1475.00 per pair. Small and
Medium 1-2 690-1010 lbs young to middle age cows with 95-330 lbs calves
850.00-1100.00 per pair.
Hogs on Thursday. Plant delivered weighted average. National
directBarrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-400 lbs 66.81, up 1.08. Sows
live price 300-450 lbs 45.09; 450-500 lbs 50.75; 500-550 lbs 52.26.
SC Grain on Friday: Corn was 2 to 3 cents higher; processor bids 7.47-
8.27. Soybeans were 1 cent lower, processor bid 14.29, export bid n/a. New
Crop Wheat was 4 to 11 cents higher; elevator bids 7.04-7.54, Columbia at
7.75.
Cotton on Friday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was at 75.55,
up 0.52.
