SC Farm Report on Wednesday
Cattle at SC Auctions on Tuesday: Feeder cattle steady to 3.00 higher. Feeder
Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 160.00-197.00; 500-600 lbs 147.00-165.00.
Feeder bulls: 400-500 lbs 152.50-192.00; 500-600 lbs 132.00-158.00. Feeder heifers:
400-500 lbs 134.00-153.00; 500-600 lbs 122.00-141.00. Slaughter cows and bulls steady
to 3.00 higher. Breakers 75-80% lean 75.00-87.50; Boners 80-85% lean 77.00-88.50;
Lean 85-90% lean 67.50-79.00. Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 1-2 930-1215 lbs
young to middle age cows with 100-335 lbs calves 960.00-1500.00 per pair, few 1575.00-
1900.00 per pair. Small and Medium 1-2 755-880 lbs young to middle age cows with 125-
245 lbs calves 720.00-1010.00 per pair.
Hogs on Tuesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct Barrows & Gilts
US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs at 70.46, up 0.78. Sows live price 300-450 lbs 43.77;
450-500 lbs 47.67; 500-550 lbs 50.31.
SC Grain on Wednesday. Corn was 6 to 8 cents lower; processor bids 7.42-8.22.
Soybeans were 7 to 9 cents lower; elevator bids 13.87-14.58, processor bid 14.88.
New crop Wheat was mixed; 8 cents lower to 4 cents higher, elevator bids 6.51-7.22.
Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was at 78.22, up 0.21.
