Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for Wednesday November 14, 2012

   Compared to last week: Steer calves weighing under 600 pounds traded 7.00 to 
9.00 lower on a light test compared to the previous week.  Feeder steers 
weighing over 600 pounds mostly steady to 2.00 higher.  Heifer calves weighing 
under 500 pounds 6.00 lower, with heifers weighing over 500 pounds mostly 1.00 
to 2.00 lower.  Slaughter cows and bulls traded mostly steady to 1.00 higher.   
The majority of the sale was comprised of replacement cows and cow/calf pairs.  
Trading activity was moderate to on moderate demand.  Supply included 
approximately 38 percent feeder cattle, 30 percent Slaughter cows and bulls, and 
the balance was replacement cows.  The feeder cattle supply was comprised of 
approximately 59 percent steers and 41 percent heifers.  About 31 percent of the 
feeder supply weighted over 600 lbs.
