   Compared to last week:  Feeder steers and heifers sold mostly steady on very 
limited comparable sales.  Trade activity was fairly active on good demand.  
Offering included several loads of yearling steers.  The area recieved some much 
needed relief from the dry conditions after about 1 inch of rain.  Slaughter 
cows were steady and slaughter bulls were not well tested in the last sale.  
Slaughter cows and bulls made up 4 percent, 1 percent replacements and 95 
percent feeders.  Feeder supply consisted of 69 percent steers and bulls, 31 
percent heifers.  Near 80 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.

   Steers:  Medium and Large 1 few 551 lbs 166.00; 600-675 lbs 154.50-155.00, 
lot 697 lb calves 152.00; 700-800 lbs 149.25-150.50, lot 796 lb calves 143.50; 
800-875 lbs 144.00-147.00.
   Medium and Large 1-2 few 327 lbs 196.00; lot 520 lbs 167.50; 550-600 lbs
