Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 01/14/2013
Receipts: 1690 Last Week: 3554 Last Year: 3362
Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers steady to 3 lower.
Steer calves 3.00-6.00 higher. Heifer calves mostly steady. Demand very
good for steer and bull calves under 450 lbs. Supply included 31
percent over 600 lbs. 36 percent heifers.
Slaughter cows sold 2.00-3.00 lower. Slaughter bulls 3.00-5.00 lower
in a very light test. Total of 174 cows and bulls sold with 80 percent
going to slaughter.
