   Boxed beef cutout values firm on moderate demand and light to moderate 
offerings. Select and Choice rib, chuck, round and loin cuts steady to firm. 
Beef trimmings steady on light to moderate demand and offerings.

  Estimated composite cutout value of Choice 1-3 600-900 lbs 
carcasses UP 0.49 at 193.98; Select 1-3 600-900 lbs carcasses 
UP 0.71 at 183.31; based on 91.99 loads of Choice cuts, 81.82 
loads of Select cuts, 14.05 loads of Trimmings, and 30.09
loads of coarse ground trimmings.

CARCASS PRICE EQUIVALENT INDEX VALUE
    Estimated carcass price equivalent value of Choice 1-3 600-900 lbs 
carcasses UP 1.06 at 186.78; Select 1-3 600-900 lbs carcasses UP 1.16
at 174.26.
   Current index reflects the equivalent of 135,421 head of cattle.

NATIONAL 5 DAY-ROLLING CUTTER COW CUTOUT 

   The Cutter cow carcass gross cutout value was estimated at 163.43
UP 0.38.

BY-PRODUCT DROP VALUE
   Hide and offal from a typical slaughter steer was estimated at 
13.34, UNCHANGED.

NATIONAL CARLOT PORK  
   Sales reported on 121.04 loads of pork cuts and 10.0 loads of 
trim/process pork.
    Compared to Monday's Close:     Fresh 1/4" trimmed loins unevenly
steady; butts 3.00 to 4.00 lower; sknd hams 20-27 lbs not tested; sdls bellies
not established; lean trimmings unevenly steady. Trading moderate, with light
to moderate demand and mostly moderate offerings.

   *Calculations for a 200 lb Pork Carcass 53-54 percent lean 
0.65" -0.80" back fat at last rib.* **83.05 DN 0.63.**  Loins bone 
in fresh 1/4 inch trim 21# DN-LGT 107.00-112.00.
