NATIONAL BOXED BEEF CUTOUT
   Boxed Beef cutout values steady on Choice and higher on Select on 
moderate demand and offerings. Select and Choice rib and round cuts 
steady to firm while chuck and loin cuts steady to weak. Beef trimmings 
higher on moderate demand and light to moderate offerings. 

  Estimated composite cutout value of Choice 1-3 600-900 lbs 
carcasses DN 0.15 at 194.09; Select 1-3 600-900 lbs carcasses 
UP 1.27 at 184.76; based on 84.07 loads of Choice cuts, 40.78 
loads of Select cuts, 21.79 loads of Trimmings, and 23.75
loads of coarse ground trimmings.

CARCASS PRICE EQUIVALENT INDEX VALUE
    Estimated carcass price equivalent value of Choice 1-3 600-900 lbs 
carcasses DN 1.02 at 185.54; Select 1-3 600-900 lbs carcasses UP 0.73
at 174.73.
   Current index reflects the equivalent of 136,206 head of cattle.

NATIONAL 5 DAY-ROLLING CUTTER COW CUTOUT 

   The Cutter cow carcass gross cutout value was estimated at 164.31
DN 0.11.

BY-PRODUCT DROP VALUE
   Hide and offal from a typical slaughter steer was estimated at 
13.52, DN 0.01.

NATIONAL CARLOT PORK  
   Sales reported on 26.50 loads of pork cuts and 5.0 loads of 
trim/process pork.
    Compared to Friday's Close:     Fresh 1/4" trimmed loins firm;
butts steady; all other processing cuts along with lean trimmings 
not tested. Trading very slow, with very light demand and light to 
moderate offerings.

   *Calculations for a 200 lb Pork Carcass 53-54 percent lean 
0.65" -0.80" back fat at last rib.* **83.42 DN 0.48.**  Loins bone 
in fresh 1/4 inch trim 21# DN-LGT 110.00.
