NATIONAL BOXED BEEF CUTOUT
   Boxed Beef cutout values lower on light to moderate demand and moderate 
offerings.  Select and Choice rib, chuck, round, and loin cuts weak to 
lower. Beef trimmings lower on light to moderate demand and moderate offerings.

  Estimated composite cutout value of Choice 1-3 600-900 lbs 
carcasses DN 1.63 at 192.20; Select 1-3 600-900 lbs carcasses 
DN 1.84 at 184.36; based on 107.07 loads of Choice cuts, 59.05 
loads of Select cuts, 18.69 loads of Trimmings, and 30.54
loads of coarse ground trimmings.

CARCASS PRICE EQUIVALENT INDEX VALUE
    Estimated carcass price equivalent value of Choice 1-3 600-900 lbs 
Carcasses DN 2.09 at 182.92; Select 1-3 600-900 lbs carcasses DN 2.19
at 172.86.
   Current index reflects the equivalent of 144,646 head of cattle.

NATIONAL 5 DAY-ROLLING CUTTER COW CUTOUT 

   The Cutter cow carcass gross cutout value was estimated at 63.97
DN 0.16.

BY-PRODUCT DROP VALUE
   Hide and offal from a typical slaughter steer was estimated at 
13.53, UNCHANGED.

NATIONAL CARLOT PORK  
   Sales reported on 95.00 loads of pork cuts and 2.0 loads of 
trim/process pork.
    Compared to Wednesday's Close:  Fresh 1/4" trimmed loins steady
to 2.00 lower; butts steady to 2.00 higher; processing cuts along with lean
trimmings not established. Trading moderate, with light to moderate demand
and mostly moderate offerings.

   *Calculations for a 200 lb Pork Carcass 53-54 percent lean 
0.65" -0.80" back fat at last rib.* **83.88 DN 0.37.**  Loins bone 
in fresh 1/4 inch trim 21# DN-LGT 105.00-108.00.
