   Boxed Beef cutout values weak on Choice and higher on Select on light 
to moderate demand and offerings. Select and Choice rib cuts weak to 
lower while chuck and round cuts firm to higher. Loin cuts weak on 
Choice and higher on Select. Beef trimmings steady on light to moderate 
demand and offerings.

  Estimated composite cutout value of Choice 1-3 600-900 lbs 
carcasses dn 0.37 at 183.94; Select 1-3 600-900 lbs carcasses 
up 0.93 at 180.65; based on 93.12 loads of Choice cuts, 34.30 
loads of Select cuts, 15.39 loads of Trimmings, and 42.93
loads of coarse ground trimmings.

CARCASS PRICE EQUIVALENT INDEX VALUE
    Estimated carcass price equivalent value of Choice 1-3 600-900 lbs 
carcasses dn 0.20 at 176.25; Select 1-3 600-900 lbs carcasses up 0.45
at 172.54.
   Current index reflects the equivalent of 154,805 head of cattle.

NATIONAL 5 DAY-ROLLING CUTTER COW CUTOUT 

   The Cutter cow carcass gross cutout value was estimated at 165.88
Up 0.64.

BY-PRODUCT DROP VALUE
   Hide and offal from a typical slaughter steer was estimated at 
13.66, up 0.02.

   Sales reported on 93.13 loads of pork cuts and 13.0 loads of 
trim/process pork.
    Compared to Tuesday's Close:    Fresh 1/4" trimmed loins firm; 
Butts steady to 1.00 lower; sknd hams 23-27 lbs steady, other weights 
not tested; sdls bellies 12-14 lbs 10.00 lower, 14-16 lbs 5.00 to 10.00 
lower, 16-18 lbs 10.00 lower; lean trimmings 1.00 lower. Trading moderate, 
with light demand and moderate to heavy offerings.

   *Calculations for a 200 lb Pork Carcass 53-54 percent lean 
0.65" -0.80" back fat at last rib.* **82.41 dn 1.75.**  Loins bone
