Compared with last week: Steers 700-1000 lbs 5.00-7.00 lower; Heifers 600-950
lbs 6.00-8.00 lower. Steers 700 lbs and under, also heifers 600 lbs and under
not enough for a true market test, however an extremely lower undertone noted.
Trade slow, demand light to moderate. Slaughter cows firm to 2.00 higher, full
advance on Lean. Slaughter bulls not enough for market test. Trade active and
demand good. Receipts: 83 percent 600 lbs and over, 6 percent 600 lbs and
under, 11 percent slaughter cows and bulls. Feeder supply 59 percent steers and
41 percent heifers.
