California June Class prices announced

California’s June 2014 Class 4a/4b milk prices were announced on Tuesday, July 1.

The Class 4a butter-powder price increased 62¢ to $23.19/cwt., up 62¢ from May 2014, and $4.80 more than June 2013. The January-June 2014 average stands at $22.94/cwt., $5.00 more than the same period a year ago.

The Class 4b price is 27¢ lower than a month earlier, at $19.07/cwt., but $3.16 more than June 2013. The January-June 2014 average is $20.63/cwt., $4.58 more than the same period a year ago.

Federal order May 2014 Class II, III & IV prices will be announced July 2.
