Cheese Importers to hold SIAL retailer lottery

The Cheese Importers of America (CCIA) will hold a lottery for qualified U.S. retailers, with winners receiving an all-expense paid trip to the SIAL Show in Paris, France, Oct. 19-23, 2014.

Food retailers selling specialty cheese are invited to apply. To qualify, retailers should purchase at least 500,000 lbs. of cheese per year or have 20 retail stores. The retailer guests are selected via a random lottery drawing, which will be held in August 2014.

The SIAL Show – the world's largest food trade show – is held every two years, featuring several exhibition halls of cheese and gourmet foods. As part of the trip, U.S. retailers will attend the SIAL show as guests of the CIAA, and participate in all events and dinners with CIAA members. Additionally, the CIAA has partnered with Cniel, the organization representing French dairy processors, for a special tour of a wide array of French food retailers.

To learn more about the trip and to apply, individuals are encouraged to visit the CIAA website.
