Northeast webinar to address dairy policy changes
Northeast dairy producers are invited to participate in a webinar covering the dairy provisions of the Agriculture Act of 2014. This webinar will be hosted by Farm Credit East on Friday, March 14, 1 p.m. Participation is free.
The new farm bill replaces the old MILC program with a new Margin Protection Plan. The new program is not complex, but there will be annual decisions that producers must make which will impact their net income. In this webinar, Mark Stephenson, of the University of Wisconsin, will describe what we know about the program and what implementation rules the Farm Service Agency still needs to decide.
