Corn Prices Finish The Year On Fire

The U.S. average corn price increased for the sixth consecutive month as prices climbed $0.39 to $4.94 per bushel. The average corn price is $1.05 above its 10 month average. North Dakota and Wisconsin posted the largest increases throughout the country.

Calf Prices Soar To 27 Month Highs

The average U.S. calf price increased $4.00 to $128.00 cwt in December. Calf prices in Colorado posted the largest increase of all of the states as prices jumped $10.00 to $138.00 per cwt. In South Dakota calves climbed $6.00 to $138.00 per cwt while in Montana prices increased $4.00 to $135.00 per cwt.

U.S Retail Gasoline Continues To Climb

The average U.S. retail gasoline prices increased by $0.02 last week to $3.07 per gallon, setting a yearly high for the fifth consecutive week. Colorado saw the biggest increase as prices jumped by $0.05 to $2.84 per gallon.

Milk Prices By U.S. & State: National Prices Higher For Sixth Consecutive Month

National milk prices increased by 60 cents to $18.30 per cwt in December. Milk prices have improved for six consecutive months and are only 10 cents under the 27-month high of $18.40. December milk prices are $2.23 above the average for the year. FULL STORY »

Soybean Prices By U.S. & State

The U.S. soybean price climbed by $0.60 last month to $11.70 per bushel, setting a new 27-month high. Nebraska, North Carolina and North Dakota were the biggest gainers this month where prices increased by $0.80 to $11.70, $12.00 and $11.50 respectively.

Steer Prices By U.S. & State

United States steer prices increased by $3.00 to $104.00 per cwt, setting a new 27 month high. Arkansas and Kentucky posted the largest increases as prices moved $7.00 to $109.00 and $106.00 per cwt. respectively. Steer prices in Ohio post the smallest increase as prices improved by $1.20 to $96.00 per cwt.

Retail Gasoline Prices Climb To 27 Week High

U.S. retail gasoline prices improved by $0.081 to $3.015 per gallon. The Lower Atlantic region posted the largest increase as prices moved $0.078 to $3.013 per gallon.

U.S. Retail Gasoline Prices Drop Slightly

The average U.S. retail gasoline price fell $0.003 last week to $2.934 per gallon. In the Midwest and Gulf Coast regions prices fell $0.006 to $2.919 and $2.832 respectively. In Washington gasoline prices increased by $0.008 to $3.185 per gallon. In Cleveland prices climbed $0.013 to $2.955 per gallon.
