Barrow and gilt prices dropped $4.10 to $57.20 cwt which is $1.59 above this year's average price. Beef cattle prices also slipped last month ass prices fell $1.80 to $92.40 per cwt, $3.30 below this year's high. Cow prices slid $2.40 to $53.00 per cwt. The national average cow price fell $2.40 in October to $53.00. The U.S. price has fallen for the third consecutive month and is now below the average price for the year. The national cow price remains $3.49 above the 27-month average and $12.60 above the 27-month low. FULL STORY »

Retail Gasoline Prices Fall For Second Consecutive Week

The U.S. average gasoline price fell $0.01 to $2.81 per gallon this week. Gasoline prices have now fallen for two consecutive weeks, but still remain $0.06 above this year's average price. Gasoline prices fell $0.02 in the Lower Atlantic and Gulf Coast regions settling at $2.72 and $2.64 per gallon respectively. FULL STORY »

U.S. average steer prices fell $1.40 to $97.90 per cwt last month. Montana steer prices remain the most expensive in the U.S. as prices increased $7.00 to $112.00 per cwt for October.
