Milk Prices By U.S. & State

Milk prices increased by 60 cents nationally to 18.30 cwt. The national price increased by $3.90/cwt over October 2009. Prices have increased nationally for six months in a row, rising $3.70 in that amount of time. Milk is at its highest point of the year and only 10 cents below the 27-month high.

The price of milk increased in all states, ranging from a 27 cent jump in California to a 90 cent increase in Michigan, Missouri, New Mexico, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Milk prices in Virginia only increased by 50 cents, but the price is the highest in that state, selling for $21.00/cwt. The lowest price of $16.50/cwt was in California.
