Salted grade AA butter increased by 6 cents in October, selling for $3.63 per stick. The increase resets the 27-month high for the second month in a row. Fresh whole milk also improved, rising 4 cents to $3.32 per gallon. With the increase, milk rebounds from two consecutive months of lower prices. Milk is 4 cents above the 27-month average. October’s milk price sets the high for the year, but is 56 cents under the 27-month high.
American cheese improved by 14 cents to $4.00, but cheddar cheese fell 7.5 cents lower in October.
