Pork prices continue to set new highs. Bacon prices increased by $0.22 to $4.57 per lb, setting a new yearly high. Bacon prices have now increased for five consecutive months. Pork chop prices increased $0.04 to $3.33 per lb which is a new yearly high. Ham prices jumped $0.04 ceets to $2.50 per pound, setting a new yearly high, while climbing for five consecutive months.
The average retail beef price increased by $0.05 last month to $3.99. Ground chuck prices increased by $0.06 to $2.91 per pound which remains below this year's average price of $2.96 per pound. Uncooked beef roasts climbed $0.08 to $4.05 per pound, setting a new yearly high.
Several dairy prices were up last month. Butter climbed $0.33 to $3.57 per stick a new yearly high. American cheese prices increaed by $0.05 to $3.86 per gallon after posting lower prices for two straight months.
