Daily National Grain Market Summary
Soybeans had sharp losses and wheat struggled also while corn closed with
slight losses. Corn market shook off soybeans sharp losses to rally off session
lows as thoughts of USDA’s Crop Production was taken with a grain of salt.
January soybeans fell sharply after USDA’s November report was bearish to
soybeans. Wheat closed with solid losses after USDA increased global and
domestic stocks more than expected. Corn production was forecasted at 10.7 bb,
up slightly from October’s 122 bpa to 122.3 bpa. Soybean production is
forecasted at 2.97 bb up 4 percent from October with an average yield of 39.3
bpa up 1.5 bpa last month and down 2.6 bpa from last year. Wheat closed mostly
15 cents lower. Corn traded mixed. Soybeans closed 43-46 cents lower.
