Daily National Grain Market Summary
Soybeans and wheat closed the week higher while corn failed to post a rally
and closed lower on Friday. Corn had a quiet session for the most part o and
failed to generate any buying interest. Wheat posted a solid rally at all three
exchanges as support came from a weaker dollar index and dry conditions in the
Southern Plains. Weekly export sales for corn were bearish totaling 189,300 mt
(7.5 mb). Soybeans had strong weekly export sales totaling 978,300 mt (35.9
mb). Wheat had export sales totaling 647,500 mt (23.8 mb). Wheat closed 8-9
cents higher. Corn traded mostly 3 cents lower. Soybeans closed 5-9 cents
higher.
