Daily National Grain Market Summary
Corn lead grains lower with wheat closing with modest losses and soybeans
closing with slight losses. Corn closed with double-digit losses as outside
markets were negative with the Stock Market and crude oil lower and the dollar
closing with sharp gains also pressured wheat and soybeans. Corn had bearish
export sales totaling 168,900 mt (6.6 mb) with 8500 mt cancelled for next
marketing year totaling 160.400 mt (6.6 mb). Soybeans had bullish export sales
totaling 1,667,200 mt (61.3 mb) with 896,200 mt (32.9 mb) for 2012-2013. Wheat
had bearish export sales of 300,800 mt (11.1 mb) with 290,800 mt (10.7 mb) for
2012-2013. Wheat closed mostly 5-9 cents lower. Corn traded 11-12 cents lower.
Soybeans closed mostly 1 cent lower.
