Daily National Grain Market Summary
Grains closed lower om Monday as the soybean market turned bearish. Soybeans
were under pressure on follow through selling after last week’s losses and
Supply and Demand Reports. Corn and wheat were under pressure due to spillover
pressure from soybeans. Wheat closed 9-11 cents lower. Corn traded 6-7 cents
lower. Soybeans closed 19-21 cents lower.
Grains inspected for export for week ending February 07, 2013: Wheat totaled
22.5 million bushels, up 7.2 million bushels; corn 14.5 million bushels, up 8.2
million bushels; sorghum 1.1 million bushels, dn 2.0 million bushels and
soybeans 30.2 million bushels, dn 25.7 million bushels compared to a week ago.
Year to Date: Wheat totaled 622.5 dn 71.1 million; corn 326.7 dn 414.6 million;
sorghum 40.2 million up 6.9 million, and soybeans 1037.8 up 240.4 million. Crop
marketing years begin June 1 for wheat and September 1 for corn, sorghum, and
soybeans.
