Daily National Grain Market Summary
Soybeans had strong buying interest on Thursday closing with sharp gains
while corn and wheat failed to follow along. Corn traders pretty much took to
the sidelines as corn was fractionally higher. Soybeans closed sharply higher
on increased demand and logistical concerns in Brazil. Wheat closed lower at
all three exchanges failing to generate any support. Corn had weekly export
sales of only 275,300 mt (10.8 mb) with 92,200 mt (3.6 mb) slatted for 2012-
2013. Soybeans had weekly export sales of 341,800 mt (12.6 mb) with 107,800 mt
(4.0 mb) for 2012-2013. Wheat had weekly export sales of 573,300 mt (21.1 mb)
with 484,500 mt (17.8 mb) for 2012-2013. Wheat closed mostly 6-7 cents lower.
Corn traded unchanged to 3 cents lower. Soybeans closed 24-30 cents higher.
