Bids as of 9:30 a.m.; Subject to change
Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Oregon during June by unit
trains and barges, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley,
in dollars per cwt. Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods
as specified. All other wheat bids are for full June delivery. Bids
for corn are for 30 day delivery.
July wheat futures in early trading trended mixed, from 7-1/2 cents
lower in Chicago to eight cents higher in Minneapolis. Kansas City July
wheat futures were 1/4 of a cent lower than Tuesday’s close. Minneapolis
September spring wheat futures trended steady with Tuesday’s close in
early trading.
Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat for June delivery in unit trains or
barges were not well tested in early trading, but were generally two to
five cents per bushel higher compared to Tuesday’s noon bids.
Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for full June
delivery trended steady with Tuesday’s noon bids in early trading.
Bids for 14 percent protein non-guaranteed US 1 Dark Northern Spring
Wheat for June delivery were also steady with Tuesday’s noon bids in
early trading. Protein scales were down 15 cents per 1/4 percent protein
down to 13 percent protein and up five to ten cents per 1/4 percent
protein up to 16 percent protein.
Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn delivered to Portland in single rail cars
were five cents per cwt higher than Tuesday’s noon bids in response to
the higher Chicago July corn futures in early trading. Corn bids truck
delivered to the Yakima Valley were not available.
