Cash Soft White Wheat - Pacific Northwest: Bids for US 1 Soft White
Wheat, delivered by unit trains and barges to Portland during June
ended the reporting week on Thursday, June 27, at not available as most
exporters were not issuing bids for nearby delivery. Last Thursday's
noon bids for June delivery were not available. There were no white
club wheat premiums for nearby delivery for this week or last week.
One year ago bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat and white club wheat for
June delivery were 7.50-7.55, mostly 7.53. Nearby bids for US 1 Soft
White wheat for this week were not available as most exporters were not
issuing bids for nearby delivery. There were no new confirmed export
sales of white wheat this week. Forward month bids for soft white
wheat were as follows: July 7.1850-7.1875, mostly 7.1875; August New
Crop 7.1875-7.30, mostly 7.1875; September 7.1875-7.35, mostly 7.1875
and October 7.19-7.40, mostly 7.19. One year ago, forward month bids
for soft white wheat were as follows: July and August New Crop 7.50-
7.55; September 7.52-7.58 and October 7.54-7.61.
Outstanding U.S. white wheat export sales as of June 20, 2013 for
the marketing year beginning June 1, 2013 and ending May 31, 2014,
totaled 1005.4 thousand MT compared to 924.5 thousand MT on June 13,
2012, and 1030.1 thousand MT one year ago. Outstanding white wheat
export sales for the 2013-2014 marketing year were to the following
countries in 1000 MT: Philippines 199.0, China 110.0, Japan 110.0,
South Korea 80.5, Guatemala 59.8, Thailand 36.0, Malaysia 20.6, Nigeria
19.2, Indonesia 13.0, Taiwan 10.2, Vietnam 2.4, Hong Kong 1.9, Canada
1.5, Burma 0.6 and total unknown 340.7. Accumulated white wheat export
shipments as of June 20, 2013, in 1000 MT for the 2013-2014 marketing
year, totaled 54.4 compared to 247.1 one year ago.
Outstanding U.S. barley export sales as of June 20, 2013 for the
marketing year beginning June 1, 2013 and ending May 31, 2014, in 1000
MT, totaled 26.7 compared to 27.8 on June 13, 2012 and 84.5 one year
ago. Outstanding barley export sales for the 2013-2014 marketing year
in 1000 MT were to the following countries in 1000 MT: Japan 24.2,
Taiwan 1.3, South Korea 0.8 and Philippines 0.4. Accumulated barley
export shipments as of June 20, 2013 were 3.3 thousand MT compared to
0.7 one year ago.
Coarse feeding grains: Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn delivered to
Portland in single rail cars were 286.25-290.00, 7.50 to 11.00 cents
per ton lower than last Thursday's bids of 297.25-297.50. Bids for US
2 Yellow Corn truck delivered to the inland feeding areas of Yakima,
Washington, and Hermiston, Oregon were 283.75-288.00, 2.00 to 9.50 per
ton lower than last Thursday's bids of 285.75-297.50. Cash corn bids
were pressured by the lower Chicago July corn futures for the week.
Bids for US 2 Heavy White Oats for June delivery were 275.00, steady
with last Thursday's noon bids.
