Corn Belt Feedstuffs
Wholesale Bids. Truck or Rail dollars per ton.
Feedstuff prices were mixed for the week. Demand moderate. Some corn by-
products were higher as the corn market was up and supplies were tight.
However, corn gluten meal saw sharp losses on plentiful supplies and slow export
demand. Temperatures have been up and down this month setting record highs in
some areas of the Midwest.
SOYBEAN MEAL: 48 percent rail was 2.10 higher from 438.70-442.70 per ton.
48 percent truck was 3.90 lower from 433.70-442.70 per ton.
CORN BY-PRODUCTS: Corn Gluten Feed 21 percent, FOB Midwest barge was 5.00
higher to 13.00 lower at 190.00 per ton; rail was steady to 6.00 higher from
190.00-226.00 per ton; truck was steady from 185.00-235.00 per ton; weighted
average was 1.25 higher at 206.35 per ton. RESTRICTED- OVER 20 PPB AFLATOXIN
Corn Gluten Feed 21 percent, FOB Midwest barge not available per ton; rail was
steady to 5.00 higher from 170.00-175.00 per ton; truck was 5.00-10.00 higher
from 170.00-190.00 per ton; weighted average was 4.84 higher at 176.01 per ton;
Total Combined Corn Gluten Feed Weighted Average was 1.69 higher at 202.65 per
ton. Weighted average price based on the movement volume by transportation
method. Wet corn gluten feed 50-60 percent moisture was steady to 5.00 lower
from 85.00-115.00, mostly 85.00-112.00 per ton. 60 percent Corn Gluten Meal,
FOB Midwest barge was steady to 60.00 lower from 530.00-570.00 per ton; rail was
steady to 30.00 lower from 530.00-610.00 per ton; truck was 10.00-25.00 lower
from 570.00-610.00 per ton; weighted average was 18.78 lower at 569.14 per ton.
RESTRICTED-OVER 20 PPB AFLATOXIN Corn Gluten Meal 60 percent, FOB Midwest barge
was not available per ton; rail was steady to 25.00 higher from 425.00-525.00
per ton; truck was not available per ton; weighted average was 12.50 higher at
475.00 per ton; Total Combined Corn Gluten Meal Weighted Average was 11.07 lower
at 545.97 per ton. Weighted average price based on the movement volume by
transportation method. Hominy Feed, Central Illinois Point rail was 5.00 lower
at 210.00 per ton; trucks were steady to 10.00 higher from 230.00-240.00 per
ton. Crude Corn Oil was steady from 52.00-53.00 cents per pound.
MILLFEEDS: Chicago was 5.00-10.00 higher at 225.00 per ton; Buffalo was
5.00-50.00 lower from 155.00-205.00 per ton.
DISTILLER'S DRIED GRAINS: Eastern Corn-belt was 10.00 higher from 265.00-
285.00 per ton; Chicago area was 5.00-10.00 higher from 265.00-270.00 per ton;
Lawrenceburg, IN was not available per ton; Nebraska was 50 cents to 5.00 higher
from 275.00-305.50 per ton; Minnesota was steady to 7.00 higher from 252.00-
260.00 per ton; Kansas was steady from 280.00-300.00 per ton. Iowa was steady
to 5.00 higher from 260.00-275.00 per ton. Northern Missouri was 5.00-12.00
higher from 270.00-273.00 per ton.
ALFALFA PELLETS: Toledo, Ohio 17 percent dehydrated were steady from 385.00-
395.00 per ton; meal was steady from 390.00-400.00 per ton, with 1/2 percent oil
from 391.00-401.00 per ton, and with 1 percent oil from 397.00-407.00 per ton.
