Bids as of 9:30 a.m. Pacific time; Subject to change
Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Oregon during March by unit
trains and barges, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley,
in dollars per cwt. Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods
as specified. All other wheat bids are for full March delivery.
Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery.
In early trading, May wheat futures trended 17.75 to 19.50 cents per
bushel higher compared to Tuesday’s closes.
Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat for March delivery in unit trains
or barges were not fully established in early trading but bids were
indicated as five to 14.50 cents per bushel higher compared to Tuesday’s
noon bids for March delivery. The higher Chicago May wheat futures
supported bids, however a lower basis bid by some exporters tempered the
advances. Some exporters are not issuing bids for March delivery.
Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for March
delivery were not fully established in early trading, but bids trended
12.75 to 17.75 cents per bushel higher than Tuesday’s noon bids for the
same delivery period. Bids were supported by the higher Kansas City May
wheat futures, however a lower basis bid by some exporters tempered the
advances. Some exporters are not issuing bids for nearby delivery.
Bids for 14 percent protein non-guaranteed US 1 Dark Northern Spring
Wheat for March delivery were not fully established in early trading but
bids trended 18 cents per bushel higher than Tuesday’s noon bids in
following the higher Minneapolis May wheat futures. Some exporters are
not issuing bids for nearby delivery.
Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn delivered to Portland and the Yakima Valley
were not available.
