Corn Belt Feedstuffs
Wholesale Bids. Truck or Rail dollars per ton.
Feedstuff prices were mostly steady to mixed for the week. Demand moderate
to good. Ingredients found support from high corn and soybean prices and good
demand on corn gluten prices.
SOYBEAN MEAL: 48 percent rail was .80-7.80 lower from 364.80-369.80 per
ton. 48 percent truck was 1.80-6.80 lower from 359.80-371.80 per ton.
CORN BY-PRODUCTS: Corn Gluten Feed 21 percent, FOB Midwest barge was steady
to 2.00 lower from 125.00-145.00 per ton; rail was steady from 130.00-145.00
per ton; truck was steady to 5.00 higher from 133.00-160.00 per ton; weighted
average was .31 cents higher at 138.88 per ton. Weighted average price based on
the movement volume by transportation method. Wet corn gluten feed 50-60
percent moisture was steady from 50.00-70.00 per ton per ton, mostly 60.00-70.00
per ton. 60 percent Corn Gluten Meal, FOB Midwest was steady from 500.00-
540.00, mostly 520.00-535.00 per ton. Hominy Feed, Central Illinois Point rail
was unchanged from 170.00-175.00 per ton; trucks were unchanged from 175.00-
180.00 per ton. Crude Corn Oil was steady to 50 points lower from 56.50-57.50
cents per pound.
MILLFEEDS: Chicago was 5.00-15.00 lower at 165.00 per ton; Buffalo was 7.50
lower from 150.00-152.50 per ton.
DISTILLER'S DRIED GRAINS: Eastern Corn-belt was 3.00 higher from 168.00-
190.00 per ton; Chicago area was steady to 3.50 higher at 165.00-168.50 per
ton; Lawrenceburg, IN was steady at 158.00 per ton; Nebraska was 2.00-7.00
higher from 172.00-195.00 per ton; Minnesota was 2.00-7.00 higher from 165.00-
172.00 per ton; Kansas was steady from 195.00-200.00 per ton. Iowa was 6.00-7.00
higher from 167.00-189.00 per ton. Northern Missouri was unchanged to 5.00
lower at 185.00-190.00 per ton.
ALFALFA PELLETS: Toledo, Ohio 17 percent dehydrated were steady to 7.00
lower at 268.00 per ton; meal was steady to 7.00 lower at 272.00 per ton, with
1/2 percent oil at 277.00 per ton, and with 1 percent oil at 281.00 per ton.
