Corn Belt Feedstuffs
Wholesale Bids. Truck or Rail dollars per ton.
Feedstuff prices were mostly higher for the week. Demand moderate to good
with limited supplies for some ingredients. Despite the declines most feedstuff
prices continue to trade at higher levels than a year ago.
SOYBEAN MEAL: 48 percent rail was 15.50-17.50 higher from 371.40-379.40 per
ton. 48 percent truck was 18.50-20.50 higher from 375.40-385.40 per ton.
CORN BY-PRODUCTS: Corn Gluten Feed 21 percent, FOB Midwest barge was steady
from 125.00-142.00 per ton; rail was steady to 5.00 higher from 130.00-150.00
per ton; truck was steady to 2.00 higher from 133.00-160.00 per ton; weighted
average was 1.52 higher at 139.79 per ton. Weighted average price based on the
movement volume by transportation method. Wet corn gluten feed 50-60 percent
moisture was steady from 50.00-70.00 per ton per ton, mostly 60.00-70.00 per
ton. 60 percent Corn Gluten Meal, FOB Midwest was steady to 2.50 higher from
500.00-550.00, mostly 510.00-540.00 per ton. Hominy Feed, Central Illinois
Point rail was steady to 2.00 higher from 170.00-175.00 per ton; trucks were
steady from 175.00-180.00 per ton. Crude Corn Oil was 50 points higher from
57.50-58.50 cents per pound.
MILLFEEDS: Chicago was steady to 5.00 lower at 160.00-165.00 per ton;
Buffalo was steady to 5.00 lower at 150.00 per ton.
DISTILLER'S DRIED GRAINS: Eastern Corn-belt was steady to 5.00 to 7.00
higher from 170.00-195.00 per ton; Chicago area was 2.50 lower from 170.00-
172.50 per ton; Lawrenceburg, IN was steady at 180.00 per ton; Nebraska was
steady to 10.00 higher from 175.00-202.00 per ton; Minnesota was 8.00-9.00
higher from 172.00-180.00 per ton; Kansas was 5.00-13.00 higher from 200.00-
215.00 per ton. Iowa was 3.00-7.00 higher from 172.00-190.00 per ton. Northern
Missouri was 10.00-11.00 higher from 190.00-201.00 per ton.
ALFALFA PELLETS: Toledo, Ohio 17 percent dehydrated were steady from 268.00-
270.00 per ton; meal was steady from 272.00-274.00 per ton, with 1/2 percent oil
from 277.00-279.00 per ton, and with 1 percent oil from 281.00-283.00 per ton.
