Kansas City Weekly Feedstuff Review
Truck bids per ton unless otherwise stated.
Feedstuff prices were mostly steady to higher for the week. Demand moderate
to good. The higher grain prices spilled over into ingredients. With the
holiday season up on us, it is sparking interest in feeds before mills and
processors shut down.
Soybean meal, 48 percent was 18.00 higher from 360.60-364.60 per ton.
Soybean hulls were steady from 160.00-165.00 per ton. Soybean Hull Pellets were
steady at 165.00 per ton. 41 percent Cottonseed Meal was steady to 2.00 lower
at 275.00 per ton. Corn Gluten feed pellets were steady from 170.00-180.00 per
ton. Corn Gluten Meal 60 percent was steady from 560.00-575.00 per ton.
Kansas Interior Millfeeds, Rail was 1.00 lower to 3.00 higher from 163.00-173.00
per ton; Trucks were 3.00-9.00 lower from 173.00-187.00 per ton. Hominy Feed
(FOB KC Northwest) truck was 7.00-8.00 higher from 183.00-185.00 per ton; rail
was 7.00-8.00 higher from 177.00-180.00 per ton. Meat and Bone Meal was 5.00-
17.00 lower at 288.00 per ton. Feather Meal was 15.00 lower to unchanged from
385.00-425.00 per ton. Yellow Grease was 50 points higher at 36.50 per cwt.
Alfalfa Meal was steady at 204.00 per ton; Sun-Cured 15 percent pellets were
steady from 178.00-188.00 per ton; Alfalfa Center of NE pellets, 17 percent were
steady at 175.00 per ton; Meal without oil was steady at 179.00 per ton; Hay
prices were not available.
