Minnesota Feedstuffs - Prices for the week ending Tuesday, December 28, 2010

    Feed ingredient prices were mixed, mostly higher this past week.  Trade was 
very light due to the holiday.

Oilseeds: 
  The January Soybean Meal futures closed 16.00 higher at 368.60; March closed 
16.20 higher at 372.60; May closed at 373.40. The January Soybean Oil futures 
closed 126 points higher at 56.82 cents per pound; March closed 130 points 
higher at 57.39 cents per pound and May closed at 57.75 cents per pound. The 
high protein Soybean Meal in Minnesota was 14.00 to 18.00 higher at 358.60; the 
basis was ranged 10.00 under the January to 8.00 under the March futures. 
Linseed Meal, 34 pct protein was 5.00 to 10.00 higher from 230.00-250.00 in 
North Dakota-Minnesota areas. Sunflower Meal, 13 pct fiber, 34 pct protein was 
steady from 215.00-225.00 in the North Dakota-Minnesota area. Soybean Oil in 
Minnesota was 126 to 176 points higher from 53.07-53.82 cents per pound; the 
basis was steady to 50 points lower from 300-375 points under the January 
futures.

Animal Protein:
   Meat and Bone Meal, 50 pct protein was steady to 10.00 lower from 300.00-
340.00 for ruminant; pork ranged 320.00-340.00. Yellow Grease was 150 to 200 
points higher from 36.00-39.50 cents per pound. Choice White Grease was 350 
points higher from 41.00-42.50 cents per pound. Feather Meal was steady from 
425.00-435.00.

Millfeeds:   
   Wheat Middlings were 2.00 to 3.00 lower from 153.00-160.00. The Sacked Bran 
was steady at 13.50 cwt.

Others:
   Dehydrated Alfalfa Meal, 17 pct protein had no quote.
