Daily National Grain Market Summary
Grains all closed higher on Thursday with soybeans leading the way. The
dollar index continued higher. Corn closed with solid gains on buying interest
with some export appeal. Soybeans had strong buying interest and positive
export sales. Corn had current export sales of 302,600 mt (11.9 mb) and sales
of 210,000 mt (8.3 mb) for next marketing year for a total of 512,600 mt (20.2
mb). Soybeans had 689,000 mt (25.3 mb) for current marketing year and 482,000
mt for next year for a total of 1,171,000 mt (43 mb). Wheat had export sales of
524.900 mt (19.3 mb) with 372,600 mt (13.7 mb) for current marketing year.
Wheat closed 3-14 cents higher. Corn traded 7-10 cents higher. Soybeans closed
mostly 11-14 cents higher.
