I am tired of hearing that obesity is caused by the consumption of dairy products and/or red meat. When was the last time that you saw a fat slob and thought to yourself, “I bet that fat slob drinks a lot of milk?”.

I hate what they have done to school lunches dut to childhood obesity. What kid wants to drink skim milk? I think they are just going to have more kids bringing in junk food to eat as they do not get full on the current school lunches. The problem is at home with lack of activity.

I'm a testament to what kind of leeway you can get with a bit of physical activity inserted into the day. My diet isn't always stellar, but you can cover a multitude of "bad eating habits" (of which dairy and meat consumption is NOT considered the least bit bad in my books!) with a good bike commute to work or a half hour run in the evening. And no food is that bad in a small enough serving size or eaten once in awhile. Mmmmm....cheesecake... :)

With 98% (+/-) of the US population not engaged in producing their own food, the lifestyle of the work desk and the couch at home gives way to a lack of caloric burn which was preceded by an over abundance of caloric intake. Look at the old family photos from 3 generations ago and you won't find any obesity showing up. Downsize don't supersize, then go work harder than you ever have in your life.

Exercise builds muscle and bone which technically makes you obese.

First of all a healthy person is technically obese. But the fatness you're talking about comes strictly from MSG,high fructose corn syrup, nutrasweet, and lack of nutrition.
