Law enforcement officers in several southwest Missouri counties have recovered about $350,000 in stolen farm equipment.

Missouri State Highway Patrol Sgt. Mike Watson announced Monday that two suspects have been charged in the thefts.

The Joplin Globe reports that a rural crimes unit of the patrol worked with sheriff's departments on the investigation, which began in early April after a complaint in Barry County about a stolen tractor.

Watson says the recovered equipment includes tractors, pickup trucks, 30 rolls of barbed wire and a brush cutter. He says the thefts were spread over a large area of southwest Missouri.

Sheriff's departments in Barry, Barton, Newton, Jasper, Lawrence, Dade, Hickory, Greene and Polk counties were involved in the case.
