Huge profitability increases can come from small changes

Sometimes it’s the little expenses that can often result in much higher profits, says an article from the University of Kentucky. For instance, feeding Holstein calves four quarts of colostrums within six hours of birth will result in 2,500 lbs more milk in their first lactation versus calves that only had half the amount of colostrum. Other changes can influence milk production greatly in the long run, even when they seem small or trivial in the short term.
