The latest on feeding group-housed dairy calves will be the topic of discussion during a DAIReXNET webinar scheduled for Dec. 7, 2012.

Plan to call in at noon Central time for “Feeding Systems for Group-Housed Dairy Calves.” During the hour-long presentation, Dr. Mark Thomas with Countryside Veterinary Clinic in Lowville N.Y., will review feeding systems for dairy calves in a group-housed setting.

The discussion will focus on practical concepts for ad libitum, acidified group feeding, as well as comparisons to other available feeding systems, and a review of possible health benefits and challenges of feeding calves in a group setting.
