The Minnesota in Numbers column is explicitly designed to build experience and develop skills in each of these three categories. Each year, I plan to offer to one or two undergraduate students near graduation an opportunity to work closely with me in writing this column and learn about dairy markets and industry. Thanks to joint support by the Minnesota Milk Producers Association and Dairy Star, students selected for this opportunity will have a scholarship that supports their efforts as analysts-in-training.
While Dairy Star reaches your home twice a month, Minnesota in Numbers is also published every Friday in a weekly newsletter of the Minnesota Milk Producers Association. Past issues can be found at www.mnmilk.org under Minnesota Milk Minute. I look forward to writing about issues of interest to you, and I hope you find the new column entertaining and intriguing. If you would like me to cover any particular topic, or comment on a past issue, just send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call me at my office number 612-624-4746, and I will do my best to fulfill your wishes.
