“Farmers feed this entire planet, and it’s time the world paid attention!”

That’s the message FarmOn.com wants to send to the world's consumers through a new social media campaign, including a video putting the next generation of agriculture in the spotlight.

The video compares social movements such as the Newsboys Strike of 1899 and the “Children’s Crusade” in 1903 to the challenges facing current and future farmers.

Other inspiring messages directed at farmers include:

“Today will go down in history as the day we truly stand for farmers, whose very hands feed the world.”

“Our young farmers face new challenges, and it’s different than anything they’ve ever faced before.”

“And so we say to all of you here and to the all of the nation tonight, let us go forth to care for the land we love. Let us not only use our hands to feed the world but our voice to change it.”

The campaign asks for farmers and ranchers to share their stories and pictures using the hashtag #FarmVoices because, as the video points, “Everyone should know the hands that feed them.”
