Week Five of the Milking Systems and Parlor Management Weekly Series, brought to you by the University of Wisconsin Milk Quality team, is now available.

The installment is a worksheet entitled, "Labor and Capital Analysis of Milking Centers," and is designed to help you estimate your milking center costs and performances, including:

1. Freestall barn

2. Milking center buildings (parlor, holding area, milk room, utility room and office)

3. Milk hose equipment (bulk tank, refrigeration and other milk house equipment)

4. Milking parlor equipment (milking equipment, parlor stalls, entrance, exit and crowd gates)
