Tips to prepare calves for winter

Winter is on its way, and in many parts of the country, calf diets already should be adjusted to compensate for colder outdoor temperatures, according to calf and heifer specialist for Vita Plus Corporation.

In the latest edition of “Calf Chat with Ann,” Hoskins offers advice on other winter preparations for calves, including calf jackets, deep bedding and putting curtains on calf barns down at night.
