Participants will learn to design systems to deliver appropriate volumes of fresh air to calves without causing drafts, with specifications created using the Dairyland Initiative’s Positive Pressure Ventilation Tube Calculator spreadsheet available only to workshop participants. Optimal design of naturally ventilated calf barns will also be covered.

The workshop will be presented by Dr. Ken Nordlund, with assistance from Dr. Becky Brotzman, Dr. Arturo Gomez, Tom Bennett and Chris Eisele of the Food Animal Production Medicine section in the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine.

Cost is $325, which includes the Positive Pressure Ventilation Tube Calculator spreadsheet, future updates and support, recognition on the Dairyland Initiative website as a trained PPVT consultant, and lunch and breaks throughout the full-day program.
