Nutrition is a vital part of calf health and development, and making sure that calves get the nutrients they need in an efficient manner is an important job.

During an eXtension webinar on Dec. 7, Mark Thomas, veterinarian with Countryside Veterinary Clinic, Lowville N.Y., will review feeding systems for dairy calves in a group-housed setting.

Tune in from noon to 1:00 p.m. (Central Time) to learn how to optimize nutrition for group-housed calves, as well as practical concepts for ad libitum feeding and acidified group feeding. Thomas also will discuss comparisons of other available systems and review possible health benefits and challenges of feeding calves in a group setting.
