In Calf Note #171, entitled "Immunity in Jersey calves," author Jim Quigley discusses a common query he gets when he visits with calf raisers, especially those who raise both Jerseys and Holsteins. That question is, “Why do I have more challenges with my Jersey calves?”

What are some of the reasons why Jersey calves seem to differ from Holsteins?
