Dairy heat stress road show planned

A series of seminars addressing dairy heat stress is planned by a consortium of universities and the USDA for late 2011 and early 2012. The “Dairy Heat Stress Road Show” will make the following stops:

  • Okeechobee, Fla. – Dec. 6
  • Camuy, PR – Dec. 8
  • Stephenville, Texas – April 3, 2012
  • Clovis, N.M. – April 4, 2012
  • Tulare, Calif. – April 6, 2012

Each day-long seminar will cover cooling strategies, improving reproduction, nutritional considerations and economics related to heat stress.
